Jaime became a member of the Twin City Ballet Company at nine years old and continued with the company through early high school. She has taught many different genres of dance in several studios across north and central Louisiana while also performing with the Louisiana Delta Ballet. She joined Red River Dance Theatre Company in 2004 where she participated as a performer, an instructor, and as an assistant director. She is currently Artist Director and teaching at Red River Dance. She is also the ballet instructor at Steps By Stepahanie Dance Studio in Alexandria, LA.

Jaime sums up her passion for teaching with these words, “Being able to share my love for dance with dancers of all stages is a gift I am able to give that blesses me over and over. When I step into the studio as a teacher, I see myself in each and every dancer. The dancers become my family, and they become the dancer I once was, or once aspired to be. To be able to guide and help the dancers achieve their goals gives me such an amazing high and I am as excited for them as they are. I consider it an honor to be able to play just a small role in these dancers lives!”

In 2012 she took on the lead role as “Clara” in The Nutcracker being the first African American dancer in the history of Red River Dance Company to perform the lead role.
